Diploma in Marketing Management

Diploma in Marketing Management (New students from 2016)

The Diploma in Marketing Management comprises compulsory modules and elective modules and is offered at Level 6 of the NQF (HEQSF aligned) and comprises of 360 credits.

This diploma consists of 18 modules and is structured as follows:

Year 1

  • MAR101 - Marketing 1 (20 credits)
  • AL101 – Academic Literacy 1 (non-credit bearing)
  • BC101 - Business Communication 1 (20 credits)
  • BM101 - Business Management 1 (20 credits)
  • ECOP101 – Economic Principles 1 (20 credits)
  • FM101 - Financial Management 1 (20 credits)
  • SAM001 - Sales Management 1 (20 credits)

Year 2

  • MAR202 - Marketing 2 (20 credits)
  • BMR201 - Basic Marketing Research 2 (20 credits)
  • BM202 - Business Management 2 (20 credits)
  • FM202 - Financial Management 2 (20 credits)
  • MC201 - Marketing Communications 2 (20 credits)
  • Elective (20 credits)

Year 3

  • MAR303 - Marketing 3 (20 credits)
  • AFGM301 - Africa and Global Marketing 3 (20 credits)
  • WIL301 - Work Integrated Learning 3 (40 credits)
  • Two electives (40 credits)

Diploma in Marketing Management (Pre 2016)

The Diploma in Marketing Management is offered at Level 6 of the NQF (HEQSF aligned) and consists of 360 credits.
